things are a little unreal

Its been quite a month...
Virtual playa a project that I have 4 years into suddenly has mutated.
We are now working on a package for Google Earth. Google are very exited about this and we..are... very blessed.
Rod Garret and I went for a ride around Black Rock City this morning. As of Thursday, BRC had maybe 500 citizens. That will swell by Friday to 50,000 people. We will be the fifth largest city in Nevada

Instant vista!

Our mega pal Jeri has been going through some challenges with her health and is taking on this battle with the same grace and strength that we have come to know and love.
While she was away visiting family in Indiana, her friend Nathalie and I secretly descended on to her apartment and transformed her small and unispiring backyard with a trompe l'oiel.
I built a frame against the existing fence, and installed 16' of paneling. A wide sweeping mountain scene is framed by arches finished with Venetian plaster. The existing supports for the overhead shade panels were continued into the painting to help draw the eye into the distance.

She came home from her long trip to discover our secret work and her emotional reaction was a moving tribute and thanks. She now has a space where she can find a quiet time to read, meditate and heal. It couldn't have gone to a better home.
